Mr. Ferrari holds a B.A. in English Literature from McGill
University and a M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Emerson
College. Following
several years in research administration at Harvard
University, he joined the CMLD-BU as its Center Administrator
in February 2004. |

ARUNA JAIN
CMLD Chemical Computing Administrator
Ms.
Jain graduated with a Masters in Chemical Engineering from
the University of Mississippi and pursued certificate programs
in Software Technology. She worked as a software developer
and database administrator in SQL Server and Oracle databases.
She also provided application support for various softwares
and helped develop and maintain web sites. She joined the
CMLD-BU in March 2003 to manage the cheminformatics systems administration
and website development. |

Dr. AARON BEELER
CMLD Assistant Director
Dr.
Beeler received a B. S. in Biology from Belmont University
and a Ph.D. in May 2002 in Medicinal Chemistry from the
University of Mississippi under Prof. John M. Rimoldi. He
joined Boston University as a Postdoctoral Research Associate
under Prof. John A. Porco in May 2002 and the CMLD-BU in May 2003. Aaron became
the CMLD Fellow in October 2003 and was promoted to Assistant Director of the CMLD-BU in March 2005. |

DAYLE ACQUILANO
CMLD Compound Curation Specialist
Ms.
Acquilano received her B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry
in May 2003 from the State University of New York at Fredonia.
She worked under Dr. Matthew Fountain for 18 months on a
project entitled "Synthesis of Metal-Binding
Nucleosides" before joining
the CMLD in May 2004. |

PINGWEI YUAN
CMLD Organic Synthesis Specialist
Mr. Yuan received B.S. and M.S. degrees from Nankai University
(China) and an M.S degree from Northeastern University
in August 2005. He joined the CMLD-BU as an Organic Synthesis
Specialist in May 2006.

Dr. JEAN-CHARLES MARIÉ
CMLD Post Doctoral Scientist
Dr. Marié obtained his B.S. in Chemistry from the Pierre et Marie Curie University (France) in 1998 and a
Ph.D. in March 2003 under the supervision of Prof. Max Malacria. In April 2003, he joined Prof. Gregory Friestad's
group at the University of Vermont as Postdoctoral Associate and developed methodology for radical chemistry of
hydrazone acceptors and its application towards the synthesis of natural and biologically active compounds.
Dr. Marié joined the CMLD-BU in June 2006 and is working towards the preparation of enantiopure chromanedione derivatives
using an enantioselective Claisen rearrangement process. This work is financially supported by Astra-Zeneca.

Dr. JOHN GOODELL
CMLD Post Doctoral Scientist
Dr. Goodell received his B.S. in Chemistry from the University
of Wisconsin-River Falls and his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry in April
2006 from the University of Minnesota under the supervision of Dr. David
Ferguson. He joined the CMLD-BU as a postdoctoral scientist in August 2006 and is currently
working on a project developing chemical reactions using an automated
microfluidics platform. This work is financially supported by Pfizer, Inc.

Dr. PENG DAI
CMLD Post Doctoral Scientist
Dr.
Dai obtained his B. S. degree from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1997.
He completed his Ph. D. studies in December 2004 under the guidance of Prof. Patrick H. Dussault
at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After a brief postdoctoral appointment at UNL, he joined
the CMLD-BU in November 2005. He is currently working towards the synthesis of dihydropyrimidone
and related chemical libraries.

SATHISH RANGARAJAN
CMLD Organic Synthesis Specialist
Mr. Rangarajan received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemistry from Madras Christian
College, Chennai, India. He obtained his Masters degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of
Vermont in 2005, where he worked on radical cyclization reactions in Prof. Gregory Friestad's lab.
He joined the CMLD-BU in September 2005 and is currently working on the development of a library of macrocyclic lactams. |

Dr. WAN-GUO WEI
CMLD Post Doctoral Scientist
Dr. Wei received a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Lanzhou
University in 2000 and a Ph. D. degree in Organic Chemistry/Biochemistry
in 2006 from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, China.
He joined the CMLD-BU in March 2006 and is currently working
on the synthesis of indoline-alkoloid-type libraries.

BO LENG
CMLD Organic Synthesis Specialist
Ms. Leng received a B.S. in polymer chemistry and a M.S. in physical chemistry from Beijing
Institute of Technology. She also received an M.S. in organic chemistry in 2006 from Wayne
State University. She joined the CMLD-BU as an Organic Synthesis Specilist in August 2006.

Dr. RADHA NARAYAN
CMLD Post Doctoral Scientist
Dr. Narayan received her M.S. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India in 1997.
The same year she was awarded a fellowship from the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, India to conduct research at the
National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, India. She then moved to Michigan State University and obtained her Ph.D. in 2004 under
Prof. Babak Borhan. She joined the laboratory of Prof. Michael VanNieuwenhze at the University of California, San Diego as a
postdoctoral researcher, where she worked on the total synthesis of the peptide antibiotic mersacidin. She joined the CMLD-BU
in January 2007 and is currently investigating metal catalyzed rearrangements of glycal derived scaffolds.

Dr. PAUL RALIFO
CMLD Post Doctoral Scientist
Dr. Ralifo received his B.S. in Biology and Chemistry and an
M.S. in Chemistry at the University of the South Pacific
under the guidance of Professor William Aalbersberg. In 2001, he joined the research group
of Professor Phillip Crews at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He completed his Ph.D.
in Marine Natural Products Chemistry in December 2006 and joined the CMLD-BU in May 2007.

Dr. HIDENORI KINOSHITA
CMLD Post Doctoral Scientist
Dr. Kinoshita completed his B.S. in Chemistry at Kyoto University
(Japan). He continued to pursue his M.S. and Ph.D. in Synthetic
Organic Chemistry under the guidance of Professor Koichiro
Oshima at the Department
of Material Chemistry
Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University. His graduate
research focused on organic reactions in water. The title
of his thesis is "Studies on Synthetic Reactions Unique in Aqueous Media".
He obtained his Ph.D. in Engineering in the field of Material
Chemistry (Synthetic
Organic Chemistry) in 2005. He, then worked as a medicinal
chemist for Nagoya
Laboratories, Pfizer Inc., Japan for 2 years before joining
the CMLD-BU in July 2007.

SUSAN CUNNINGHAM
CMLD Library Purification Technician
Ms. Cunningham received her B.S. in Chemistry in May 2007 from Emmanuel College in Boston.
She joined the CMLD-BU in June 2007 as the LC/MS and Liquid Purification Specialist.

Dr. PAOLA CASTALDI
CMLD Post Doctoral Scientist
Dr. Castaldi obtained her Laurea degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy)
in 2002. Her Ph.D. research at Imperial College London (Prof. S. E. Gibson) focused on the development of a methodology
to introduce multiple chiral centers around aromatic cores towards the synthesis of C2- and C3-
symmetric chiral ligands. In November 2005, she began postdoctoral studies at the University of California, San Diego
under Prof. Y. Tor and Prof. T. Hermann and worked on structure-based design and synthesis of small molecules to specifically
bind RNA. She joined the CMLD-BU as a postdoctoral scientist in October 2007 and is currently working on the synthesis of highly
functionalized spirocyclic compounds.

Dr. JORGE BECERRIL
CMLD Post Doctoral Scientist
Dr. Becerril received his B.S. in Chemistry and a M.S. in Organic Chemistry from Jaume I University (Spain).
In 2002, he joined the group of Prof. Andrew Hamilton at Yale University as a graduate student. His research
focused on the design, synthesis, and evaluation of small molecules that mimic the functional properties of peptides.
After defending his thesis in August 2007, he joined the CMLD-BU as a postdoctoral researcher.

Dr. BO LIANG
CMLD Post Doctoral Scientist
Dr. Liang received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry in July 2007 from Peking University (P.R. China)
under the guidance of Professor Zhen Yang. He joined the CMLD-BU as a postdoctoral scientist in
August 2007 and is currently working on photocyclization reactions.
